Promontory

We would like to thank all who attended the USAS Convention. We feel it was a great success and hope everyone had a good time and learned some new things about our part of the State

Upcoming Activities:

Our next chapter activity is a field trip to record an lithic quarry in the Wasatch hinterlands. The date is Saturday August 13, 2016 we will meet at the Maverick Station in Eden City located in Ogden Valley at 8:30 am to car pool. We will hike in the cool of the morning to the site and return around noon or 1 pm. The hike is an easy 1 1/2 over fairly level ground on a good trail, I promise we will not have to brush it this time to the sites.

Recent Activities:

Our most recent activity on June 17, 2016 was a field trip to find and record some rock art sites up Echo Canyon. We had about 15 people attend and we did find two new rock art sites and visited one known one.

Meeting held:

We meet the second Thursday of the month from September to May at 7 pm in the classroom next to the Anthropology Lab in the lower level of the Social Sciences Building at Weber State University, about 37th and Harrison Blvd, in Ogden.
